Pet Armor
Heyz
Just wondering, this has probably been posted before.
Wouldn't it be nice to give you're pet a nice armor upgrade?
It could be a nechless, brazzers, haircut, tatoos etc. Maybe some runes/insignias designed for pets. And armors would offcourse be dyable.
I could imagine a UW spider with a red tatto on his back , or a white tiger with silver ice brazzers on his leggs , well u get the idea.
Aditional: pets being able to flag. being able to roar!. some pet emote /petroar, /petsit, /petroll . maybe the pet insignias could give the pet skills whatever, pet survivor title (mans best friend), /petdeaths, /petage xD.
Would this be nice? Maybe someting for gw2?
btw i'm not talking minipets!! these are pets u charm!

Some people tend to be a bit grouchy toward those who violate the local rules. You can keep them off your back by looking at the stickied threads at the top of the forum before posting again. (This is good forum etiquette on every forum on the web, in any case.) You might note that the title of the second one in the list contains explicit instructions to not start a new thread until you have read the Index of Ideas and used search.

There is nothing wrong with your idea, it's just an idea that has been around for some time. Don't take it personally, attacks are not against you, simply at your abuse of forum rules.
Anyway, on topic, I have stated before that rather than pet armour I would simply like to see pet customization. I would like things to be purely aesthetic rather than practical.

As noted, you should have used search. The reason you do this is to ADD to those topics instead of creating a new one. I'll vote to have this one merged with another topic or closed.

Stop trolling with "OMG use search noob." You complain about GW "dying" but then wonder why (maybe people in forums and in game acting like asses to new people has something to do with it).
Anyway, something purely costmetic would be fine to preserve. HOWEVER, there are just SO many pets that doing this would require quite a bit of work since there are some many models that would have to be fitted for this. So, /notsigned

you dont HAVE to post in every thread made on the forum
so why complain if theres more then one thread about the same thing
if it bothers u that much dont bother looking at the thread and just leave it alone
seems like some people just complain cause they can and want to
theres no reason for it
if u dont want to discuss it again then leave the thread alone!
and let the other people who actually want to discuss it take part in it
"if you dont have anyhting nice to say, then dont say anything at all"

I always felt sorry about the poor creature that was so unfortunate to have an owner that dresses him/her.
So, /notsigned.

Forum respect = post counter. That's why everyone feels the need to post.
Neither of the first responses were a complaint. They were a reminder.
Btw dunno if you noticed, but your response was a irrelevant complaint about the useless "complaints" to the idea.

U're probably right HawkofStorms. Also it would be expensive to buy new armors every time u charm a new pet and loose current pet+armor. Unless u could have stables for u pet's, a small zoo if u like .

Brazzers lol.
Pretty useless addition, Pets don't really need armour. Basically anything but armoured bears (and maybe lizards) looks crap.

Ya, give them a saddle and let me mount them! (that came out the wrong way didn't it?)
Anyway, I'm already terribad at remembering which runes are on which heroes...I don't think I could cope with kitting out my pet(s).

The only armor I see fit for pets in GWO is one that do not change skin, since making models takes so much work and time.
Pets have already fixed armor. The same paragons have. 23..80. So no increasing armor with an item.
So... what's left for armor other than skin? Properties. Variable properties.
Just like Hero armor, a Pet armor slot could be added to the pet panel.
It would stay in the slot like Hero armor, and would accept one rune and one insignia.
The insignia would override evolution, and the rune would override damage type.
And ding! You have a way to change pets for PvP and making quick changes to join PvP if you are a PvE character.

I love how friendly everyone is on the forums. If someone's a n00bcake just be patient with them. Most people don't bother using search to look for topics that interest them because it doesn't work perfectly.
